Prayers for Jason's grandfather please

My first wifes father, Jason's grandfather, fell and broke his hip this afternoon. He is a kind and good man, and was the first to reach out to me after my first wife died. His exact words were, "Please come to the funeral. You were the only son-in-law I ever had, and you are my grandson's father. That makes you family to me." I will never forget them. They meant the world to me.

Please say a prayer for Marcus Everman. He's 87 years old and has just undergone a hip replacement. Kind of makes me ashamed that I have complained about my ribs. I will go see him tomorrow and pray he is not in too much pain. They are talking about having him on his feet late tomorrow or early Friday. Amazing!

Marc, I still care for you and Vivian deeply. Get well, my son and grandchildren need you in their lives!

    Heff: givette here. Two years ago, my aunt (93 then) broke the ball off her femur, and some of the hip-socket. She was in inpatient PT two days after surgery, and continued PT after she left. About five-six weeks total PT. She doesn't even need a walker. Cheer up, boss. Joe

    I hope Marc can fair that well. Jason just called me a little while ago to tell me what had happened, and he was already out of surgery and sleeping. The doctor told Jason it went very, very well, but said they have to get him verticle soon to prevent pneumonia. I guess from what Jason said, that is the doctors only real concern.

    He's a tough ol' boot, and I know he will give it his all. I saw him last September, and he was at Jason's house throwing the football with the boys. He is in good health for his age!

    My Grandmother broke her hip in 2002 and passed away 3 months later. Prayers sent from here

    Given medical technology and techniques today, chances are Marc will be back up on his feet in no time.[:)]

    Back when I was a kid, my neighbor had to have hip replacement surgery after years of chronic problems with his hip. We didn't see him for a while, but when we did, he was all smiles. He told us about his surgery and said, "I'm not sure why I didn't do this years ago!" No cane, no walker... heck, he walked better than before.

    So my prayers are sent. I pray he recovers quickly and completely and I pray that someday soon all of you will look back on this with a relieved smile on your faces.

    at the time i had my knee surgery there was a eldery lady that had a hip replacement. we did therapy together in the hospital and she actaully faired better than me. surgery in the morning on you feet in the afternoon. pneumonia is a big issue for old and young alike. have faith,he will do well.
