I am a fairly religious person. I am not offended by religious discussion and, in fact, enjoy it.
Stating that, what is the deal with all the religious threads? I was gone for two weeks... what did I miss?

A few folks got there panties in a wad over the fact that some religious topics were being posted. So now one of them has come out as gay and others are raising heck wanting a new "religion" board. That's it in a nutshell. 0 -

Just try and stop (if you can) being, however subtly, however subconsciously, "better" because you have the word, and others have not. Or have found salvation, and others have not or have seen the light, and others have not or are re-born, and others have not or WHATEVER!!!
It's so subtle, you may not even know you are doing it.
It's getting old, folks. There's a trend of some of you to ardently expouse your beliefs. Bet I can nail those of you [who do that] down to a singular religious denomination. It's due to the way you were indoctrinated, starting very early in life. I really am tired of the "you are condemned, I feel sorry for you". (Subtlety here, I'm better, get it)? Probably not.

Well, I went to bed after having posted a very short answer to a very short question by nunn.
Got up this morning and...poof!
I never found out if my answer made any sense. See, I had just gotten back from a gruelling Fair Borard meeting and was up way past my bedtime. I'm not interested in changing anyone's mind or replacing anyone's deeply held religious beliefs with the theory of evolution. I just wanted to know if I was capable of making a point.[:D]

Givette summed up my take on this whole thing, word for word. No one can deny me my salvation, either because they think my tolerance makes me unworthy or because they think there's no God to save me; and I don't care to argue the point with either extreme. 0
