Photos of Firearms
With the invention of the digital camera, people can see their photos instantly. So tell me why so many sellers on Gun Broker take photos of firearm in the dark? Not all take bad photos but some are so dark and poor that you cannot tell what is for sale. Are they hiding something?

A lot of people are not good photographers.
For instance, you often see guns set against a dark background, such as setting on a dark sofa. Guns are dark, this makes it hard to see details. Need a light colored background.0 -

They won't spend the $150 for a basic light set up. 0 -
Even if they are using a digital camera, they don't know how to use a macro setting. Seems like a lot of sellers pictures are so blurry on the close ups! 0 -
Or, like me, they can't afford better than the $35.00 POS that was the cheapest thing I could find, and which has no macro setting or other amenities outside a flash that sometimes works and the capability of being turned on and off. To say I "won't spend" more money is incorrect and insulting. "Can't" is the truth of it, since I place groceries, rent, and utility bills higher on my financial priority list than a camera, regardless of the purpose to which it's being put.
Perhaps I'll have better luck with my auctions if I dispense with the dark, poor-quality photos that disturb some of you to the point of actually complaining about it, and let my sparkling descriptions conjure up finer pictures than any camera could ever produce [:D].0
