Is it just me, is the market for used guns depressed?
Looking at some of the prices of no reserve, it seems like guns aren't selling for what they were 12 months ago.

ELSEWERE: I bought two cue/walking stick at yard sale Sat. There is the EXACT SAME item on sale at another auction site for $200 bucks!!! I wont say what I paid for mine but I emailed the seller and told him/her I will sell all thay wanted to 20 bucks but have not heard from then yet.

I just can't beleive what people pay at auctions. A lot more than what they would pay in a shop or at a gun show. One of the guns was a winchester model 12 20 ga. Plain barrel with poly choke. The finish was all patina. About a 50% to 60% gun. Went for $625.00. How may think this is a good deal. 0 -
As I was browsing through some of the Hi-Point carbine auctions, I saw some items that were priced way above what you can buy them for directly from the source. An example was a HP 995 10 rd. magazine going for almost $30 plus $4 shipping, when you can buy (2) for that price and get free shipping. Other items that are available directly from hi-pointfirearms.net were also selling for twice the buyer direct price. Talk about price gouging........but I guess as a used car dealer told me many years ago, "There's an ass for every seat" Just thought I would give you guys a heads up on this. 0 -

attended an on site auction yesterday and watched a Remington model 760 in .257 roberts in 85% condition with a 3-9 redfield bring $1800.00,,,, a stevens SXS .410 in 50% condition brought $850.00,,,, and a reblued over the pitting winchester model 53 in 32-20 brought $1950.00. I know the auctioneer personally so I know there was no shill bidding going on,,, just thought I had to share this with you fellow gun guys,,,, it was unreal.

Here when an Estate auction takes place. I have noticed that things were being sold for way more than what they were worth.
I watched a guy at one pay $1200.00 for an old Winchester Model 37 12 gauge. I politely ask why he would pay such a high price for a two or three hundred gun. His reply was simple. He said he and the old man that had passed away were good friends and they hunted together a lot. He got a part of his friend to keep forever and the family got some money to help them out.
It is funny how things go when at an auction. I wonder when I go to one just what is it that drives some people to bid the way that they do.0 -
Live no penny auctions with multiple bidders creates an element of greed, which we're all born with. It's good for auctions especially the sellers. 0
