Crossbreed Holsters

Who is a fan? I would like to have one for my Kahr P45, but they only offer them for the P9/40. The 45 is about .15" thicker. I've emailed them and they said they'd check into it.

I'm sitting here researching them and the style, and see plenty of people making their own.

And why shouldn't they?

1 12x12" sheet of Kydex = $8
1 6x12" cut of 8-9oz leather = $8
misc. Rivets and clips for another $8-10

I also have a leather belt slide that I never wear anymore. I wonder how it would be instead of the kydex like Crossbreed uses.

Any thoughts?

    Anyone used one of them before? Worth the $$$$$$? The Super-Tuck IWB appeals to me.

    I asked about that holster the other day and didn't get many repies. Go to www.xdtalk.com . That's where I heard about them. They love them over there. I've ben thinking about getting one for my XD.

    I have one. It isn't pretty(as if that matters for an iwb holster lol), but functionally it works great.

    Do you really notice a difference between high dollar holsters like those and just a normal IWB Don Hume holster?

    I'm Sorry i thought he was talking about CROSSBRED HOLSTIENS, I was going say WOW has this forum gone off the deep end[:D][:D]

    The only thing i guess would be different from a Don Hume (i've never used one though)is that they use molded kydex which has good retention and easy reholstering, and that the clips are spread apart which would make them more resistant to shifting. They also have a flat back that goes against your body which makes them pretty comfortable.
    I don't see how it would be a huge difference though.
