Dark and stormy night....

Storms moved through the area tonight. Weather radio started broadcasting warnings about 4:00 this afternoon and at times it was going off almost constantly with new warnings, probably about 70 total since they started. All my friends and family are ok as far as I know, but there has been several lives lost and very heavy property damage and loss in the state and the neighboring state. Shopping center was hit across the river and it wasn't long before the looters were out. Everyone to the East, take care and be watchful. Prayers for those with losses.

    Had some hefty storms come through here also. Nothing to closeby
    but the radio was reporting some tarnados bouncing around and 4"+
    hail in places. Heck a softball sized chuck of hail would come
    through a roof, i'd think.[:0]

    I've heard it was bad in some locations in Ark, Ms. and Tn.

    My county is included in a Torn. Watch until 5:00 AM.

    my mom and brothers live around the Russellville area. Got a call from them this evening. Sounds like Atkins is pretty much devastated and had three people die there.

    I have a few more months before I can retire and move back there, hate to hear that we got hit bad.

    Our local cable channel lost channel 5 via Memphis about 2 hours ago. We are about to get hammered here around Tupelo in the next hour or so. I pray that no other people in surrounding states lose loved ones.
