DOG TO THE VET

took Sunnie to the vet this evening about her feet licking and hip problem.the vet told me that her knees are wore out and she has arthritis.he told me the reason she is licking her feet, that is her way of dealing with the pain. he gave her a shot of rimdyl plus 100 mg tablets to take every 12 hours. if this dont work she will be on prednisone and i hope i dont have to go there

    I hope she gets some relief....give her a soft bed to lie on, and lots of hugs and kisses....

    Give her advil....I guess this works really well...put it in her food...Check the net...My brother has a boxer and they have bad legs and hips...it works well for his dog..but hey..what do i know

    the funny thing is she wont lay on anything soft,we have several blankets that has been with her since a pup. she might lay on them for a minute or two then it's to the hard wood floor

    There are even air beds and water beds for dogs now...and ones with heat....and yes they deserve it as much as their masters do...

    Don't go on the prednisone. That is a nasty corticosteroid. Long term effects are bad.
    Go to the pet store and get some good doggie chondroitin. I have given it to my dog for 3 years and it works great, it is cheap, no side effects.

    Thanks jwb267 will pickup some rimdyl for our aging dog
