Glocks attempt to reinvent the 45 acp. and make a smaller grip profile on a pistol.

also in some countries its illegal to own military calibers.
Im not sure if that has anything to do with GAP, but i know glock chambered a gun in it to slim down the handgrip.0 -

Certain factions were unhappy with the performance of the .40 S&W and expressed a desire for more. The powers that be said .45 ACP (AUTOMATIC COLT PISTOL) was too much. Hence, the .45 GAP. A solution to a problem that never existed and now shooters/officers with smaller hands can shoot a .45.0 -

not only that the GayAssPistol is a huge pia to reloaders, get one mixed in your brass, and accidentally reload it, the bullet WILL fall out, not right away but after you load it into a magazine 0 -

So warpig I have smaller hands, does that make me a sissie in your view? Glocks are pretty much out of the question for me and I do have a M&P 45 where I can adjust the grip size, is that ok?

The GAP is a slightly shorter .45 that fit into the existing Glock frame, as I understand it. I like the comment about it being a "non-military round" and therefore legal in some countries where the ACP is not. Never thought about that. But I assume the GAP will not cycle through an ACP pistol, due to headspace. Am I right, anyone?
I understand performance is virtually the same as the ACP, at personal combat distances, and I believe Kimber has used the cartridge in some of its micro-,45s. Is this correct? I am no expert, because I have no use for a Glock, don't even care that much for autos, and believe if it wasn't designed by John Moses Browning it's a piece of manure.0 -
The .45 G.A.P. is based on the .45 ACP pistol cartridge, but is shorter ?_" slightly shorter than the overall length of the 9 mm Luger or .40 S&W ?_" and uses a small-pistol primer like the 9 mm Luger instead of a large-pistol primer like the .45 ACP. The .45 G.A.P. operates at a higher pressure than the .45 ACP (the same as .45 ACP +P) to make up for the smaller chamber volume. The .45 G.A.P. produces ballistics equal to the standard .45 ACP loadings but in a shorter cartridge. It was first believed that the traditional .45 ACP loading of a 230-grain bullet at 830 ft/s would not be possible in the .45 G.A.P., but careful gunpowder selection on the part of ammunition manufacturers has achieved that standard. I myself would never own a firearm chambered for the gap .45. I will stick with the acp .45. But's that's just me. Hope this helps.
The .45 G.A.P. cartridge was conceived by Glock to be used in the medium frame sized Glock 37 pistol. The lighter .45 caliber bullets produce less recoil than the .45 ACP 230 grain (14.9 g) loadings, but they still retain many of the terminal ballistics advantages of the larger, heavier (compared to smaller caliber bullets) .45 caliber bullets. Since nearly all semi-automatic pistols store cartridges in the grip frame, the smaller overall length allows a smaller grip diameter which means that even a double-column pistol can have a grip that is easily handled by most. I myself will stick with the acp .45 Hope this helps.0
