Terrible Movie

tonite I rented the worst western i've ever seen--hell maybe the worst movie i've ever seen--The Assassination of Jessie James by the Coward Bob Ford. Brad Pitt was awful-movie was sooo slow and very little action. I should have known better since it was never released to most cities when it came out. I love westerns but sheesh this one was boring with 2 lame shootouts. 3:10 to Yuma was much better.

    I'm not a big fan of westerns at all, but I wanted to see the new Jesse James movie. After your comments, however, I'm going to stay away from it - the title made it iffy to begin with. If you want to watch a great contemporary western, check out the Australian flick The Proposition about a man forced to choose between killing his older outlaw brother or letting his innocent baby brother be executed by the law.     i'll have to check it out--the movie i saw tonite was an art house style movie--something that will probably win an Academy Award but that few people actually liked lol.

    I saw the movie that jhigh420 is referring to and it was a good movie. I also was looking at the Jessie James movie but probably won't rent it now. Thanks for the heads up.

    I've noticed that Brad Pitt movies seem to very slow paced. Not sure if he talks the director into giving him long, lingering close-ups of his face while he looks contemplative so that we'll all know that he's a serious actor or if they want the women to get a long look at him.

    For the longest, most boring movie ever made I nominate Meet Joe Black. Pitt at his longest and slowest.

    So not-widely-released that I've never even heard of it. From the looks of it, it's just as well. Not a big BP fan anyway.
