Gun legality in California

This type should be fine....but just tell your buyer to ask whoever his transferring dealer any "can I have it" questions. His dealer is the one that will have to recieve the item and they should sort all of that out between themselves. If he is bidding and wins your item it isn't YOUR fault that he didn't check this out himself. Your resposibility ends with the product and listing it correctly. His local laws are his responsibility to make certain of. If you are a nice guy the ATF has a very detailed website that you can look up all these things.....but you could be reading for a long, long, long time. I've only had ONE problem with a sale to California. It was a Walther P99....he couldn't have it because it hadn't been DROP testED. I offered to drop it....but he declined.

    It's OK, since it's exempt.

It's my understanding that single action revolvers are exempt from the drop test. The Commies running that state know the SAs would never pass so the Gun Gestapo in Sacramento exempted them making it plain that the drop test law has nothing to do with safety. It's all about restricting gun rights and extorting money.

not true--single action revolvers with fixed firing pins or transfer bars are both exempt from the drop safety testing. Guess they figured criminals would never use a single action revolver to commit a crime[:D]
