Heard this on the news today, and if it was posted earlier, I apologise....been working too much and not getting a chance to read all the forum threads....



WHen I heard this I was speechless, I am not sure what is fitting for what he did...

Police: Toddler's Skin Burned Off During Hot Oil-Hair Dryer Torture
Man Charged With Felony Attempted Murder In Case


APOPKA, Fla. -- A Central Florida man is accused of pouring hot cooking oil on a 17-month-old and using a hair dryer to burn his skin off because the toddler apparently would not stop crying and whining.

Police said Darlanne Toussaint was charged with felony attempted murder on suspicion he abused his girlfriend's son in an Apopka apartment building Thursday.

The mother of the child, Marlita S. Stokes, 23, was arrested on Friday and faces charges of child neglect and providing false information to police.

According to a charging affidavit, Toussaint poured the hot cooking oil on the boy, shook him hard for 10 minutes and then burned him with a blow dryer to the point that his skin fell off, Local 6 reported.

"It is alarming to think that an individual can cause this type of harm to a human being, let along an infant of 17 months old," Apopka police Officer Steven Popp said.

Investigators said Toussaint abused the infant "because he was tired of his crying and whining."

"The majority of us officers have children, and it is hard for a case like this not to affect you emotionally," Popp said.

The child is in stable condition at Florida Hospital.

Toussaint is being held without bond at the Orange County Jail, Local 6 reported.

    That makes sense..... Burn a babies skin off to stop it from crying.

    They should burn about 75% of Mr. Toussaint's skin off and see how quiet he can be.

    First I would like to say that our prayers be with the child.

    Second, when this so called man goes to prison I hope that he gets the "just punishment" inflected to him by some of the inmates there. From the first day he arrives, till the day that he is finally able to depart this world and go where all other child abusers should be!!!

    No one likes screaming kids. But no one in his right mind would do that to anyone, much less a kid (well- doing it to some of the terrorists we caught followed by some feathers might not be a bad idea).

    I like Sumerian justice. Let's do unto him what he did unto the child.

    No one should be able to motivate in me, the hatred I feel for this....I don't have a good enough word to describe him.

    Despicable.

    I want to get in my car, drive to where he is, and torture him slowly - then isolate him for the rest of his natural life.

    These are un-Christian thoughts that I don't want to be having.

    I pray for the child.
