what is most typical grain of 9mm load ammo used?

In .40 cal...I know, but know very little about what grain ammo to get for a 9mm I'm getting soon.

What load should I stock up on?...115, 124 ?

115 Gr +P is the most common, but if you can find 124 gr +P corbon ammo I think its by far the best load. But there are alot of good loads for the 9MM, I think Federal's 130gr JHP has some very good reviews. But shot placement is the most important factor with any ammo.

9mms must be much more "flexible" than .40 pistols on ammo grain.

My .40s really "know" the difference between 180 and 165 grained ammo. Zero issues with 180. But 165 cases some of mine to act up and not cycle completely.

Are 9mms more "accommodating" with the ammo used?

115 is the most common and the least expensive.

My P-85 doesn't like 115 grain bullets. I groups them about 6-8 inches at 25 yards. With 124 grain bullets it tightens up to about 3-4 inches.
