Got a new cat

Well, we took a trip down to the mall and into the pet store last night. At this pet store they have pictures of cats, as well as a few cats on hand that you can "adopt" from the local animal shelter. Nikki has been wanting a cat really bad lately and we found one there that she loved. Needless to say we are getting a cat this Thursday. Actually is a pretty good deal because we pay $45 to buy the cat and all major shots, spayed, and declawing are already payed for from donations to the animal shelter. Only catch was that I get to name it.[:D][}:)][:p] She already shot down Ruger and all the other gun manufacturers names[:0], so we agreed on "Sierra". At least I got to use a bullet companies name.[:D]

    That is a good way to go. Now if the cat works out as well as you hope, make a donation to the shelter to help them out.

    Has the cat already been declawed? If not, don't do it. No way for the cat to exercise its forearm muscles with no claws. Get a good scratch-post, scent it with catnip, (to prevent damage to furniture), and you're good to go. Joe

    Cat isn't declawed yet Joe, but it has to be done. Unfortunately we don't own our own place yet, we rent and it is their policy.
    Either way, I think that we would end up getting it done. Both of us have too many little cousins, neices, and nephews who visit.

    Iv'e had cats that were declawed and if the force of the slaps they gave me with there declawed paws they didn't need anymore exercize.

    Our pet cat of seventeen and 1/2 years was declawed as a kitten. He never had a problem with his forearm muscles.

    10-4 on that. declawing changes there personality. Makes them crazy. They don't declaw the cats they de-finger the cats. Cut them off at the first knuckle.
