helicopter help needed

slipgate
This used to idle well but I crashed it. It has been totally rebuilt but still "drifts" when I power it up. I really want to get this back working. Any ideas?

BTW: The helicopter was not damaged during the crash!

    Slipgate, I thought you were talking about a real helicopter!
    From what I can see in the vidio it almost looks like the propellar is either on upside down or spinning the wrong direction.
    Which way does the wind blow?

    The blades on this work in either direction - they can't be put on backwards. Once the speed is sufficient, the collective pitch changes to lift off the helicopter. When I first got it, I could hover without too much drift, now it does nothing but drift (since the crash). When I hold it and power up, you can feel significant wind going down and the helicopter will take off if you let it go.

    I replaced all the top end parts including the main mast.

    Mine did that and I had to re tweak the gyro. New blades, balance etc.

    Cool vid. Looks to me like the tail rotor is not putting out enough thrust.

    Or your "CYCLIC" is out of wack. Looked to me like "Collective" was working.Does it always fall off to the right?
    I'd say, first, check the tail rotor drive, see that it's not slipping.

    That wont help, toy aircraft are harder to fly than real ones, its just easier on you when you crash them.

    Thought the same thing tail rotor speed. But depending on your gyro it could be damaged. or out of adjustment.

    I have one of those sitting on the shelf, need to get up the nerve to give it a try.

    Are you using Gyro's?

    It appears from the little that can be seen in the movie that maybe the gyro system may have been knocked out of sync.

    Are you using servo savers? If not the servo bell connecting the tail rotor may have been twisted a tooth off. But adjusting the trim should take care of most of that problem if the bell has not been striped to much.
