If his speeds at Vegas and California are any indication it shouldn't be too long. With that said, there is a lot of pressure on them to win and win early. 0 -

Stewart will win the Cup this year. The Toyota's are WAY up on the speed chart so far, and most feel that they have a big horsepower edge. NASCAR will NOT force them to back their engines down because Toyota is spending so much, and NASCAR (i.e. the France family) is getting even richer off them. Jr. will win two races. The 600 and maybe Texas. He won't make the chase though. Jr. is NOT a great driver. Very good, but nowhere near great. 0 -

NASCAR is not the only racing series where Toyota dumped bargeloads of cash into with little to show for it..
Toyota started up a Formula 1 team in 2003...no wins...no poles...and 1 or 2 poduim finishes (that means 2nd or 3rd place, and IIRC they were 3rds). They were outperformed by team who ran Toyota engines with much smaller operating budgets (Williams/Toyota F1).
Ya gotta wonder how long till the beancounters in Japan will wait till the plug is pulled.
In F1, it's not so much for Toyota to win as it is to beat Honda...and Honda sucked too.0 -

He will be dangerous at the super speedways and 200mph tracks,..that's where he is one of the better drivers (courtesy of his father). Being in a hendrick car will put him out front sooner than later.

There are gonna lots of 1-2-3 Hendricks races this year. I really look forward to this season. Jr. is not his father, thank goodness. Is he as good a driver? Time will tell. This last season, DEI gave him junk to drive; I seriously think some of his rides were sabatoged. Good equipment will tell the tale.

Exactly my take on the situation. Had JR had top-notch equipment last season, their are at LEAST 4 races he could have one, and 2 were DNF's.0 -

1) JR will probably win a race or 2.
2) NASCAR will continue to overlook infractions committed by HMS and will continue to fail to hand out driver point losses. (Think about cupcakes big win in the duals last year. came across the line an inch lower, ie: and inch smaller hole punched in the air, regardless of nascrap passin it off as 'no advantage, it's huge if the profile of the car is smaller than the rest of the cars.... with nothing more than a last place starting spot. Edwards got a 25 point penalty for the same infraction during the chase.
3) NASCAR will continue to fellaciate 'HAMSTER' motorsports with inconsistent solutions to little problems...case in point: At POCONO last year, there was a rainstorm after the halfway. Cupcake was leading. No attempt was made to dry the track,as the sun reappeared, he was awarded the win. At Kansas, Stewart would have walked out with the points lead, as it POURED. nascrap busted azz, cause there was NO WAY that they were gonna allow that to happen. Boywer took it in the keister as well, as nascar refused to give tham a restart while he, Kansas' favorite son, was screwed out of the chance to catch a win, giving it to? a hamster.
Toyota will win a race. breaks my heart to be a Stewart fan. The upside? More Toyotas are made on american soil than the 'big 3 combined......0 -

Oh Contraire.....Most of the cars and trucks we drive with 'American' Names are made in Canada and Mexico. Toyota assembles foreign made parts for the Camrys on American soil. ford Chrysler and GM Assemble foreign made parts on american soil. What's the difference? Look into it......

Hopefully never, he is a waste of time for NASCAR. He would rather be interviewed by MTV on CRIBS instead of concentrating on his so called profession (he couldn't even carry his daddy's helmet, let alone uphold his name in racing). 0
