    In the North Carolina mountains it is 17 degrees.
    Supposed to snow all night tonight, maybe an ice storm tomorrow. I have got to get the chain saw ready for action. I am ok if the power goes out, but need to be able to clear the driveway, which is 1/2 mile long, goes through dense forest.

    Back in '97 or '98, I had a chance to take over the General Manager's job at a radio station there.

    But I remembered the day trip my wife and I took up from Montrose. Every time I'd say "What a pretty town", she'd day, "Yup. Pretty COLD".


    It didn't take a genius to see that that girl wasn't going to go willingly.

    We've been at 15 or so here in Sterling most of today, but the wind chill makes it colder.

    I have NG radiant baseboard heat. but with the stove i can keep that off most of the time.
    -17 out right now. weather peeps say it going to be the coldest night yet state wide. its 75 in the house right now
