Why no Ruger sub compact ?
I was just thinking about this the other day. I wonder why Ruger never developed a compact or sub compact semi auto? Seems to me they could have kicked a$$ on jennings, raven and ect. with just such a better quality economically priced gun.

Because they never developed a full size semi-auto that wasn't of a similar scale to a Hi-Point. 0 -

I have a friend with the SR-9, it's new that's all..wouldn't trade my model 17 glock for it,..and the trigger was smooth with a empty clip in it..[;)]..Loko 0 -

The real reason Ruger has made no compact/sub-compact, or haven't explored the titanium-made firearms market (even though they have a tremendous amount of experience working with titanium) is because of poor management.

Only Ruger semi-auto I have ever owned is a 22/45. Come on, even I am smarter then that.[:D] I will stick with my Sig.[;)] And if I got rid of that I would take a Glock anyday, I don't care what anybody else says.

Man, is there really that much hatred toward Ruger P's? I own basically one of every model they produced. I have shot alot of rounds through them. Take a guess at how many FTF's FTE's or failures of any kind.

I have done nothing to the guns, they plain just work. They are overbuilt and priced better than anything else out there.
Some people are just jealous when your less expensive pistol can shoot just as well if not better then their super-expensive ultra-tactical newest model that the gun magazine is plugging.
To answer your question there has been lots of speculation that the new SR9 will have a compact companion modelled after it. This is just rumor and internet hearsay but so was the SR9 a few months before it arrived.0 -

if I had any guns, the Rugers I'd own would be a single six convertible, A P95DC, a stainless GP100, and a 10/22.

I too have had "0" problems with the 2 p's i own. one in 9mm one in 40sw both are 110% reliable and cost 1/3 of any SW, or Colt and have 110% less problems. I shoot a 22/45 in bullseye comp every friday I see these guys that shoot there COLT & KIMBER 45's are constantly fiddle %$^$#ing around with them. same with there $2k harmerwhatsits and there S&W 40sums
All junk when compared too a 110% reliable Ruger.0
