Hooked on 32's
I know we're gun nuts or we wouldn't be here. But I am sickly obsessed with .32 autos. Don't know why, 13 and counting, plus several antique Smith wheel guns in .32 rim. Anybody else have a madness for one particular caliber ? I have a variety of other calibers, but no duplicates. Favorite is the CZ 27.[8D]

I don't have a .32 at present, but I really like the looks of that H&R .32 ACP. I don't know if it's a good shooter or not, sure is a cool looking little pistol though. I'll pick one up eventually I'm sure. I have very few duplicate calibers in the coral, other than .22 .308 and -06. I kinda like variety, though it does get pricey on ammo shopping day. 0 -

[:p] Things like .32s, and Mossberg 22s- that the PURIST collectors look down on- are still available for reasonable prices. I really like the little 32 top breaks- but have a fondness for smokeless rimless as well. One day the purists will notice them, and our days of reasonable price collecting will go POOF![:D]0 -
I don't collect guns of one kind but have always had a soft spot for the 32 auto. I have owned several but at the present time I own none. Gonna have to start looking! 0 -
I like .32 acp ok. my wife has a tomcat that I carry on sundays and to places where a bigger gun isn't a good idea.
My favorite, though is .357 magnum. I ccw'ed my GP100 (w/ 6" barrel) under my coat on monday. I have a long list of WTBs in .357.0 -

In the past I too had a fondness for the .32 acp. That was until I did some comparative bullet penatration tests with the .32 acp, .22 rimfire, .25 acp and the .380 acp. Well lemme tell ya, the .32 acp did not fair well. The .32 acp is a piss poor penatrator with only the .25 acp being lamer. By comparison the .22 rimfire faired much better and the .380 acp came out on top as far as my results were concerned. I would not carry anything less than a .380 as a back up or CCW pistol. I have my grandfather's H&R. Never shot it. Great condition. Surprised us to find it in his house. It was tucked back in the corner kitchen cabinet. Dad didn't know it was there. 0 -

I've got 5 .32 autos and 6 .32 revolvers chambered in .32 Smith and Wesson (ok 2 are .32 S&W long). A lot of fun to shoot at 20 feet or so. 0 -

I like the .32 Auto cartridge also, because I think it's really the base level for what you would call a "handgun". yes, the .22LR is about the bread of life when it comes to plinking and squirrel hunting, but I think that really is a different category. the .32 Auto is the base level for handguns.
I think handguns are made too big. I think they should make .32 Auto's about the size of a .22LR, 9mm's the size of .32's, .40's the size of 9mm's, and .45's the size of .40's. almost every handgun is 1 size too big for the cartridge.
if manufacturers did as they should, you would see that .32's would be the pocket pistol of choice that everybody uses.0 -

I have two .32 acps. One is a Walther PP that has been nickeled. The other is a Llama MicroMax (looks like a little 1911). Neat little gun and fun to shoot. Normally carry a .45, but sometimes use one of the 32s as a BUG. 0
