I am seriously thinking of joining up for this. Has anyone here participated in a cowboy shoot? It looks like a lot of fun and my local gunshop is a major supporter of this!

I was really thinking about joining at one time, I have been to several events and they are a ton of fun. I did decide to go another route as I started shooting 3-gun. But I can always wonder amout the days that could have been in my other life, the one where people would call me Chisum's Boy.[;)] 0 -
i seen a few matches while i was at ipsc/idpa matches, it looks really fun, and a great group of people, just a bit slow for me though right now anyway

I've been involved in SASS and cowboy shooting for about 20yrs! We have a helluva good time, and I've met some truely great friends over the years as a result. [;)]
I'll pass for now on joining you at a local shoot though. I'm in Arizona, and it would take waaayyy too long to get there on time! [:D]

They encourage to come and watch!!! Even if you choose not to take it up, it will be worth the visit. I go to a local one a couple times a year!!! 0 -
I've3 been shooting Cowboy for about 6 years and love it. There's not a greater bunch of guys to get involved with in any sport. It's really great fun. Hope you get involved and have as good a time as I have. I told the guys when I started that I was too old and slow to worry about winning and that I was there to just have fun, and I do.
