Any Ham Radio Operators Out There?

I was talking to a friend of mine the other day, and he was asking me if I knew anyone that had a Ham radio ... he has an old friend that he has been trying (unsuccessfully) to contact for several years ... his friend used to be a Ham operator, but of course we don't know if he still active or not ...

... TIA for any help!

  You can seach qrz.com by call sign. Or check out the FCC website. If he still has an active license you should be able find him.

  you'll be able to find out the adress that he was at when he got his license if you have his call sign, but that might not help you. a license is good for 10 years. a person could get out of ham operating and then move, his call would still be listed with his previous address for a number of years till it expired.

  National Radio Relay League (Newington, CT) is the master depository for ham radio licensees. Started before WWI. With a worldwide link. Give them a call. Best, Joe
  
  PS..the antenna is/was the tallest non commercial/gov't antenna in the world.
