Can I make a confession?

I am a Loony-Toon-Aholic. I grew up watching the classic Warner Bros. cartoons with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Foghorn Leghorn and the rest. Now you can't find them on TV any more. I guess young people don't find those old 'toons relevant or entertaining.

Well, I just blew $250 on the "Golden Collection" of classic Loony-Toon cartoons. In addition to 300 classic cartoons from the 1940s-1950s the CDs include interviews with writers and artists and many cartoon shorts made for theatrical release. Even some of the films made during WW II to support the war effort are included in the set.

All the cartoons are unedited and have not been made PC as was common when they were on TV in the 1980s and 1990s. All of the old racial jokes and scenes of violence are intact.

I can hardly wait to start watching them.

    Looney Toons rule. All the cartoons now are like animated soap operas, and we wonder why kids nowadays are the way they are.

    Could have bought some ammo(I was gonna say a lot but that's not true anymore)however sounds like a good investment.

    I'm with ya', and the grandkids love to come over and watch them. I also have a complete collection of The Three Stoogies, and they love to watch them. Kids these days don't know what they missed![;)]

    my all time favorite bugs is when he finds out the bounty on rabbits is only a few bucks, gets totally pizzed, fills in the grand cannon, put out the flame on the statue of liberty, cuts off the state of Florida and gets the bounty up to a million dollars, his attitude was classic

    the bugs bunny where he eats the special carrots and turns into Super Rabbit is my favorite...LOVE THE OLD CARTOONS. Was born in 76 but rememeber watching all of the (I guess re-runs) growing up. They still crack me up along with Tom and Jerry.

    I just kept wondering 1) Just how much crap did "Acme" make, 2) How did Wiley Coyote PAY for all of it? I thought Yosemite Sam and Taz were the bomb. You know they were cussing, we just couldn't understand them!!

    You can get the DVD's at most stores, or fleabay. Anyone remember the name of the Tune that has Daffy acting like he is Robin hood and Porky is the Monk type guy?

    We watched a few in school, this quarter actually, during the "Propaganda" lesson that involves Holocaust and WW2.

    All of the good toons..Taken off TV because of the violence in them. Don't jump on me I didn't decide they were violent, us that grew up with them knew it would hurt if you tried what they did.

    Don't forget Tom & Jerry...
