Range report (CZ-52 pistol)

So far it seems to be alot of gun for the money. Only problem I had was twice out of 72 rounds the slide didn't lock back after the last round. Chambered every round flawlessy and ejected the empties 20+ ft. The pistol took a litle while to get used to and the recoil is more than you would expect from a gun as heavy as it is.
The target in the picture was freehand at 25yds but I think I can do better after I put a few more rounds through it(I seemed to jerk the trigger). I do not like the fact that there is no slide release, although I did find a couple of websites that sell aftermarket parts for em.
Ammo is dirt cheap so you can shoot all day long, and after I replace the firing pin(mine hasnt broke but it seems to be a common problem) add a slide release and some better grips it should turn out to be a pretty good shooter.

  The grips on that gun are about the ugliest ive seen!

  They are definately ugly but are great shooters. I have three of them, one in original finish, one in rearsenal black finish, and one chambered in 9mm. They throw a great fireball when fired in the dark. You can still buy them cheap and well worth the price.

  I picked one up several years ago in a trade. As a winter project I went through it and tightened it up, built an extended slide release and installed a new front sight,adjustable rear and finished it with DuraCoat. I never did get the trigger pull where I wanted it but it's not bad. The grip angle is the hardest thing to get used to. It's a real tack driver at 50 yards from the bench. The 7.62X25 is a great little cartridge (chronographed over 1600fps)and it's fun to shoot.

  Built sort of like a T72 tank, isn't it? I got one for my BD last year and it is fun to shoot. The grip angle is oddly uncomfortable as Grunt2 noted.

  i use to get complants from the guys at the local indoor shooting range when i had mine in 9mm. i always got put on the farthest bench to the right.
