    I am in the process of rebarreling a Savage 110 this same thing happened to, He had left one in and the barrel split back to where ther was 14" left to breech. It WAS a 243 now a 7mm-08.

    it's also a good argument for "in-chamber" bore sighters.

    i think they make a 7.62x39 brass that will work. i went to wally world and bought a LASER LYTE (spelling?) that will fit any thing from a 22 to a 50 cal

    When shooting a bolt action,I ALWAYS,ALWAYS ,remove the bolt ,and look down the bore, to check for obstructions,YOU SHOULD TOO !!!!!
