The OH-58 Kiowa Warrior (Battle Damage)

I have some really good pictures of this particular aircraft, but I found these posted by someone else.

The Army announced today (maybe yesterday) that they will keep the OH-58 in service until 2020.

This aircraft was able to fly home after the mission.
I have been told, that both crewmen survived although both were severely injured, which I would tend to believe.

    I used to work in a Battle Damage Repair squadron in the Air Force. That's nothing we couldn't fix will a little metal (speed) tape and a 2x4.

    That plane is still totally flyable![8D]

    Yes that bird made it back alright, But after looking at all those holes in the general area of the cockpit, I have a hard time believing that the pilots made it back alright[V]

    That's a tough little bird to get shot up that much and still make it back to base.
