Cheap 357 Ammo.
I wonder if there is any cheap 357mag ammo that is cheaper than $14.96 for 50 rounds of 158gr Semi Jacketed Hollow Point's.
If there is, post a link. It can be any type of 357mag ammo just under $14.96 for 50 rounds.
I would like to get some cheaper ammo so I can shoot my GP100 more often.

Dude. You totally have to start rollin' your own.
You can find presses and dies used for not much money.
Components are costing more, sure, but if you're having ammo shipped, you're already paying too much anyway.
And the satisfaction of handloading is something you'll never grow tired of.
Unless, of course, you've already done a bunch of it and think it's too time consuming or too much work.
Then, I guess I understand.

try going to the gun shows you can always buy reloads 50 to 500 for half or less of what your paying.and if you must shop retail get 38spcl. 130gr. wad cutters for about (9.00 a box 0 -
if you want cheap .357 loads then learn to reload them. Cabelas had bullets for 45.00 a thousand in the lead on sale this week. Just primers and powder and your ready to go. 0 -

I figured for the price of 50 .357's I can reload about 200 158gr.

I have a rock chucker, dies, and plenty of brass but nothing else for reloading.
But, really, wolfdog, 30 cents each isn't all that bad for magnum ammo. You can probably find 38 spec ammo for 20 cents or so.0 -
Another advantage of reloading is shooting reduced loads. I know it's a Ruger and it's built like a tank, but there's nothing wrong with being kind to your gat. 0 -

Bought some last month, only thing I can figure is he has a huge stock pile. He's had the same price on them for a couple years.0 -
I buy HSM (Stevensville, MT) .357 Mag ammo at gunshows for (as I recall) $8.00 a box. They are reloads, but I've never had a problem w/them. They come to the larger Tulsa gunshows and have a website. 0 -

I don't like shooting 38spl in my GP100 I have a lot of sight adjustment to do with my GP100 if I shoot 38spl out of it, and I like to keep it sighted in for 357mag loads.
I buy my 357 ammo at a local store so I don't pay the s/h.
I have a Lee rifle reloading kit, does any one know if you can use 357 dies with it?

1) Well, weak 357 loads will not hit the same place on target (past, say, 25 yards) as full-house loads, but when going back and forth from full-house to mild loads with my Smith M-28, I just adjust my hold to compensate. If you're shooting combat distances (say, 25 feet), the difference should be negligible.
Most modern reloading dies will fit a modern Lee press. I have used Lee, Hornaday, RCBS and even Herter's dies (rifle and pistol) in Low-end Lee presses. No sweat.0 -
