2000 Chevy Camaro. Replaced the pads and the car started making a rythmic sound, like every time I pass a certain spot it hits. Original rotors. I'm thinking warped rotors? No dust shield and the rotors are very worn anyways, I just didn't want to spend any money when I'm going to sell the car soon anyways. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    I broke off the tip of an L shaped allen wrench into the 4mm female set pin of a sprocket. It's the shaped kind that makes it easier to get in at a little bit of an angle. It's just floating in there. They call it a ball end wrench.

    Any ideas on how to get it out? I tried to have it aiming down and tap the sprocket with a hammer. I really don't want to drill it and pull it that way. But might have to.

    That little tip made the tool a lot more brittle. Do they make a T shape one that would bend instead of break off like that?

    Also looks like I will have to bring in some used copper bore brushes to clean out the threads that wouldn't allow the set pin to back out.

    I'm tired of fixing the Walker brush for the boss who has now broken it three times. I'm really saving his ass so it doesn't have to be taken into the shop for repairs. He keeps running the brush into curbs and banging on the guard that protects the chain drive. What really pissed me off is that he made some smart ass comment, like he has any mechanical aptitude at all, about how the sprocket is loose and that is why the chain fell off and wrapped around the drive train. Well sorry, you rammed it into the ground, the chain was pinched by the guard that was totaled and it bounced the sprocket loose when it damn near destroyed the frame. He was lucky the teeth were ok. Those walkers are very expensive. The guard alone was 25 dollars for a piece of stamped steel.

    i just got a 98 Isuzu trooper. this has the tod torque on demand system. don't know anything about these. something to do with the four wheel drive. anyway it has a diagram of the drive train. the part with the back two tires keeps lighting up. flashing on and off. just the two rear tires. and now the check light came on. i read the manual and it says to shut the vehicle off and restart and if it doesn't come back on with in two min. that your fine. but it will come back on again just not right away. 10 min. sometimes 20 min. anyway what could be causing this. i plan on taking it to the shop and having it checked out. just wondering what i could be looking at. seems to run good. doesn't have any weird noises or anything just has the check light coming on on the tod system.

    I have a 2000 camaro and the stupid thing bogs down when I hit the gas. Cat and the fuel filter have been changed so far and the problem isn't fixed. What does this sound like to you?

    Having a weird issue with my Camaro. Between 45 and 50 MPH I get this weird stuttering when I'm maintaining speed. Nothing to drastic, but it hic-ups constantly. If I speed up everything runs normal, if I slow down it's normal. Any ideas? Coil pack maybe?

    If I may I would like to pick your guys brains for a minute. First off, It's a 2004 F-150 STX 4x4 108k miles with the 4.7 V8 and auto tranny.

    Yesterday driving about 35 the tranny went to shift into 4th and instead of it engaging it was like I was in neutral. The truck slowed down and so the truck went back into 3rd and everything was back to normal. Then speed up and same thing. Happened about 5-6 times in a 3 mile span.

    Now the thing that really has me puzzled. On a whim I pushed the O/D off button (Same as the tow haul mode on other trucks). Tranny functioned fine for about 60 miles.

    Any ideas of whats wrong and about what it will cost me.

    Bad sensing unit or a clogged solenoid. The flashing lights should be a warning signal that a dealer would know. Or a readout will locate.

    Put a piece of black electricians tape over the light thats flashing so you don't see it.

    try pulling your positive cable off for a few minutes should reset computer probaly bad abs sensor also look for loose or frayed wires

    i tried pulling the positive cable off. but only had it off for acouple of min. how long does it have to be off for it to work. i asked the guy that i got it form and was told he never had a problem with it. but he did just change the battery in it. dont know if that has anything to do with it.
