    I voted for him.

    It won't be easy to unseat Dickweed Durbin, but I would promote that Durbin believe in giving sancuary for illegal. He has told immigration not to touch certain illegals.

    There's not much I like about the guy, but Durbin does get the Chicago vote which makes him hard to beat. Also, Oberwies tried to campaign on the anti-illegal allient vote, and failed during the last election against Durbin.

    Jim Oberweis won also. He's running to replace Hastert in the 14th district.
    4 years ago he was running and had campaign ads on TV about how he's going to fight the illegal problem. The republicans refused to back him and he came in 2nd. Now he still vows to fight the illegals and has the full support of the republicans and Haster is behind him all the way too. Even campaigning with Jim.

    It's nice to see some with morals getting support.

    My Representative Dan Lipinski's name is also sadly missing.

    I grew up in Kankakee back in the 40's and 50's ... I didn't think it was so bad back then!

    ANY Senator is very difficult to unseat but we need to try especially with a extreme liberal like Durbin. The best thing to do is to get Sauerbergs name out there. I'm sure 99% of people have never heard of him. Bumber stickers (his name will be seen by thousands of people), signs on lawns, etc. Most people vote by party and name recognition. We have 9 months until the election.

    I was happy to see that Oberweis didn't give up and finally got elected.

    Oberwies was becoming a joke of statewide politics. Loss after loss after loss, but I haven't seen anything from him that would make him a poor Senator or Congressman. He is a shoe in to get elected to Denny Hastard district. For half that district there isn't a democrat to be found.

    This Ice Cream King should finally win aln election.

    He's the Republican Ben&Jerry.

    ..If you ever get back around here, I'd be honored to buy you supper and give you a guided tour of your old stomping grounds. You might want the tour first, as supper might not stay down when you see Kankakee as it is now. Must admit though, there are still some nice neighborhoods and I do most of my shopping down there.
