Cabelas buy Marlins?

Just heard through the grape vine that Cabelas bought a bunch of Factory reconditioned Marlin rifles.

Can not say how true it is. But was told that one Cabelas had over 60 of them in stock and priced well below what a new one cost.

May call our "local" Cabelas and see if they actually do have some in stock. May be worth the drive to check a few of of them out, if the rumor is true.

    Yes but Cabelas bought some marlin rifles not the company.

    I knew that Maytag, Ronco eer I mean Remington took control of Marlin.

    But the information I got was from a friend in SD. She had went to the local Cabelas and the gun shop told her that Cabelas bought a bunch of Marlins that were factory reconditioned. And that the SD store had 60 some of them in stock.
