If you want to know just how effective the mainstream media is, it is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If any democrat is elected, ALL of them say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. This is like the movie The Sting with Paul Newman; you scam somebody out of some money and they don't even know what happened.

    I was paying 31% with Bush the Elder

    Then 39.1% with Clinton (that 8% hike hurt)

    Then 38.6% with GW (thanks a whole lot for that 1/2% cut)

    After the big GW tax cut I am paying 35%, or about half way between where I was with Poppa Bush and Billy Boy.

    While a 4% tax cut is appreciated I feel that there is a LOT more room for cuts at the upper income levels. I know that pi$$es people here off, but that is the way it is.

    Doesn't upset me. I belive no matter income level, it should be the same. Although I would prefer a sales tax only and user fees as opposed to income tax, ect.

    but gas was 78cents a gallon, you could stock your refrigerator for a week on less than 75 bucks, my property taxes where 40% of what they are now, there is a trade off that everyones failing to see, i purchased 3900 gallons of gasoline last year do the math

    Now Zip you know darn well that the true Bush haters will see this as an evil Bush plot to destroy this country through bankruptcy by cutting taxes to increase the deficit.

    It doesn't matter give someone more $$$ and they will complain. Take more $$$ from someone and they will complain. It's just human nature to be ungreatful no matter what.[:(]

    Notice that in the first few years of the Federal Income Tax the bottom bracket 1% applied to tax payers making less than $20K? $20,000 back in 1913 is equal to about $435,000 today so probably 99.9% of the folks working in the United States back in 1913 never paid a tax rate of more than 1%.
