Illinois do not ship list
I am a resident of Illinois and i am told by several FFL dealers that there is a list of certain brands of firearms that you cannot have shipped to Illinois does anyone have a copy or know where i can access this list?

"Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that 90 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act, it is unlawful for any person within this State to knowingly manufacture, deliver, sell, purchase, or possess or cause to be manufactured, delivered, sold, purchased, or possessed a semi-automatic assault weapon, an assault weapon attachment, any .50 caliber rifle, or .50 caliber cartridge. Provides that beginning 90 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act, it is unlawful for any person within this State to knowingly manufacture, deliver, sell, purchase, or possess or cause to be manufactured, delivered, sold, purchased, or possessed a large capacity ammunition feeding device. Provides that these provisions do not apply to a person who possessed a prohibited weapon, device, or attachment before the effective date of this amendatory Act if the person has provided proof of ownership to the Department of State Police within 90 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act. Provides that on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act, such person may transfer such device only to an heir, an individual residing in another state maintaining that device in another state, or a dealer licensed as a federal firearms dealer. Specifies penalties for violations. Provides exemptions. Provides that the provisions of the Act are severable. Effective immediately."

The bill Spider7115 posted has not passed. Cook County (chicago) is the only part of Illinois with such BS bans. If an FFL is refusing to send anything other than a Full Auto, Sound Suppressor, or Short Barrel Rifle it is based on his own decision, not any law. 0 -

Been watching it for a year and not much has happened with it. I've sent letters to my represenatives. There doesn't seem to be much urgency in pushing the bill through. Mainly only a bunch of Chicago scum backing it.
I fear that it's sitting there lying in wait for the next big gun crime nationally or in Chicago where all firearms are already banned, so they can attack it again and push it through. All the preliminary steps are out of the way now.0 -

This bill failed last year. If I'm not mistaken by only 3 votes.[:0]
In chicago/cook county there is a complete gun ban for the average citizen, However I think one can apply to own a long gun. But in no way a "assault weapon" Still don't know what an assault weapon is??
Anyway in Illinois the only other city I know of is Aurora that has an assault weapons ban ordinance.0
