Have you seen that Savage has come out with a new Varmint rifle called the Model 25? Looks pretty interesting, here is a link-- http://www.savagearms.com/centerfire_home.htm

Jon, Thanks for posting that, I have not seen the Model 25 yet and it looks like a great shooter. Is it just me or does the Model 25 look like it uses an extened version of the Model 40 action? I going to have to put in a order for a few of them, I'm sure they'll sell real quick at my shop.

The 50th anniversary rifle looks very cool but did you see the asking price?[:0]

No, I didn't notice the price until now.[:0] As for the Model 25 being based of the the Model 40, that is the first thought that came to my mind as well. I think that it might have a good chance of catching on with varmint hunters. Very logical if you think about it, short bolt throw for fast follow-up shots on prarie dogs, coyotes, or whatever else it may be.
