Has anyone else noticed...price of knives

seem to be dropping like crazy. I mean 50% of retail. We have some SOG's, Kershaw's, and Cold Steel's at SW now for 1/2 of retail. I've noticed the same thing on a few websites.

Thinking about pickiing some up. Also flashlights have DROPPED in price. Picked up a Browning Black ICE 6V Zenon/LED light for $27.

Surefires and all. $195 Surefires for 97.50.

  No sure about the knives, but I think there is a very limited market for $195 flashlights.

  That is because a lot of Knife manufacturing has moved over seas.

  I picked up a Kershaw Junkyard Dog II around Christmas @ SW. Are they on sale now? Great knife.

  Its probably a post-holiday, post-hunting season glut.
  
  Markup on knives (especially speciality ones) is pretty high, and the retailers can afford pretty aggressive discounts if they want to clear them out.
