I amazes me how Russia can go from Czars to Communism and now Democracy but still have the same basic totalitarian regime. It's torn down and rebuilt from the foundation under a new format, but yet the outcome is the same. Even with a new President, it is expected Putin will be in the background to pull the string.

  they don't think it's such a bad thing having Putin continue to "pull the strings". they think he fixed some problems and that they really need a controlling authority instead of a democracy right now, especially considering how unruly the rest of their government and business leaders are. I'd be inclined to trust their judgement.
