What goes with tacos for dinner?....classic is on a mexican food kick,.and I am going to the store, so what goes with tacos? WHat can I have with it?..He said to look it up, so I decided to post it here instead....

Decided between the two of us to have re-fried beans, salad and tacos....
Where I was born its italian food, and here its mexican....he doesnt care for italian and I dont care for mexican *LOL and that is about the only thing I think we dont agree on...

Many local recipes for tacos, including mine use shredded papas in the taco meat. Meat gooped up like Taco Bell is not traditional, it is criminal. 0 -

i always make yellow rice instead of mexican rice and i use ranchsyle beans. just mash them with a potato masher and those are the best refried beans ever! also, try using a can of rotel in the mean instead of the water with the taco seasoning! GOOD STUFF!

For lunch today we ate in a new Mexican place in Kilmarnock, VA. I had a "Chesapeake Burrito". It was filled with crab, shrimp and a white cheese sauce. Went great with refried beans and rice. 0 -

Just an update...THis is BR not classic....forgot to log him out...
He had 4 tacos (soft shell) so they must have been good,...he said he is going to have them later and for lunch tomorrow and said they were way better than taco bells...and were really really good......I had 2..first one with re-fried beans ...YUCK...dont care for that...second one without...it was good...especially when it was dripping ...(love sloppy food ) ...lol0 -

WE DONT DRINK BEER....so anything suggested in the line of beer is of no value to the dinner as it just wont be around...0 -
There are a lot of good suggestions here, so I won't add to the main course. However, for an after meal delight I'd suggest that you serve plenty of hot sopapias with warm butter and honey![:p] 0 -
4 of my tacos and most are done (full)
I make mine with chicken diced up (with hot taco mix)
Large fried corn tortilla shells
lettuce
Pico Degio
Habanero-Jack cheese (Land-O-Lakes)
Add salsa that you like (I use a Local one thats to hot for most folks)
Forgot Refried beans with diced up ortaga chillies mixed in on the side.0 -
Taco Bell. Its pretty late now, so if you haven't made'em yet. Around here we have a KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell together, so you can have pizza, chicken or buffet with your tacos. We call it Kentacohut. Personally I like rice and refried beans, but I usually eat enchiladas with that. 0
