The Heartland of America
I have been keeping up with the political circus in the news. The only question I can ask is "are these candidates the best we have to offer?" If so, we are in serious trouble.
The next question I have to ask is "remember us?" I am asking this question of those that would call themselves "America's conscience". Hollywood, CA and New York City, NY have taken upon themselves this mantle. The rest of the world sees these two places as representative of the once great nation of The United States of America. Does the Hollywood crowd of southern California speak for you? Have you turned your decision-making faculties over to the crew in New York?
The citizens of the Heartland are laughed at, belittled and scorned. The surprise is WE CAN TAKE IT. From Alabama to Alaska and Ohio to Oklahoma we are not thin-skinned. So what? Who cares?
I do. The Hollywood crowd can cry in their martinis about Darfur and the New Yorkers can believe their @#$%hole of a city is the center of the universe. The truth is they have been putting up candidates and backing PACs with their big money and the country keeps getting farther and farther away from the once great nation we used to be.
Where are the good people in government? Where is Mister Smith goes to Washington? When Zell Miller retired I was dissappointed. He was, what we call in Cleveland, "a stand-up guy". We can chose from Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama or John McCain? Flip a coin and put another nail in the coffin.
Whoever gets selected will not give a shi# about Americans in the Heartland. They will send our money oversees, weep for illegals and surrender to jihadists. We are close to calling it a day in my book with these candidates.[xx(]

I hear your sentiments. I look at McCain and roll my eyes. He's another Bob Dole. WHat the media is missing is the next President is choosen from th center of the nation. If Hillary cannot carry a hadful of Midwest swing states, she is not going to be elected. Michigan, Ohio, Misouri. We no what New England thinks, We know what California thinks, but the center of the nation is what really matters. 0 -
Chuck Hagel (R) Nebraska 0 -
or, the Nebraska football coach who got elected to congress, Tom Osborne, he would make a nice president 0
