Did I Pass Up a SUPER Deal?

This past weekend at the Gunshow I had a guy with a Sako TRG-42 in 338 Laupua with a $1200 dollar trigger add. He had a Nightforce 8-32 x 56mm Benchrest scope. He offered the entire setup for $3000 to me along with 200 rounds of ammo. I passed it up but regretted it 5 minutes later as I saw another guy walking out with it. What do you think?
