Prayers and well wishes please

Yesterday I lost a very Dear friend Ive known for 20+ yrs, he was only 44yrs old. He was on Duty yesterday and no one had heard radio trafffic from him since 11:00AM or there about. He was a Town Police Officer about 15 minutes from here. He drove his cruiser to a secluded area about 7 miles out of town limits. After an exhaustive search two Officers found him about 3:15 pulled off the road in an area that cant be seen from the road. He had wrote a note and shot himself with his 10MM Sidearm. Its hitting me and all of us very hard especially those who worked with him so long. He was always in a good mood laughing and joking, and had a nickname for almost everyone. The PD he worked 20+yrs for shut down yesterday evening and today. We and the County are working 12 Hr shifts to answer calls in town until the Town Officers are able to come back. He left behind a beautiful young wife, and two adorable children. Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers, especially his family. As of now there are no known reason for him to take his own life. And it was the last thing I ever imagined him doing. Please offer prayers or well wishes for all of his friends and family. Its truly a sad day for us all.

    I don't understand the lows a man or woman can go through to do such things. Suicide has take three out of my family, and to tell the truth, it makes me angry because they leave those not responsible to struggle with why and grieve with questions of what they could have done to prevent it. If anyone ever considers suicide, stop and think of what it does to those left here who love you. It's not fair to them.

    Still, my prayers for God's mercy on his soul, and prayers for those of you left to sort out the reasons why.
