What is it going to take for me to go to the doc to get my back looked at. I need to call the doc.

    get it looked at first before a Chiropractor

    Go to any ER - speak Spanglish - provide no ID upon request - nod your head 'no' as often as possible - no problemo - free - and a two hour wait, max! Let the Gringos worry about paying for it.

    ...I'm not a doctor, but I play one on GB. Plus, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

    ...See a real doc and get X rays or an MRI. Then, if you want to try a chiropractor, fine. My chiro was smart enough to decide that she didn't want to mess with something that was beyond her scope. You'll have to weigh the advice from the doc and the chiro and make your own choice for a course of treatment.

    I say go to a chiropractor. They know the spine better than anyone. Most regular docs will say you need surgery. A chiropractor will say "get an hour-long deep tissue massage, then get realigned immediatly after." Do that 5 or 6 times, and you'll be right as rain, and maybe as much as an inch taller.

    Rather than a chiropractor, check around for a D.O.- a doctor of Osteopathy. They also do the spinal manipulation thing, but they are physicians, like an MD.

    Chiropractors use xrays.
    When I broke my femur last summer, I went to an orthopedist.
    When my back hurts, I go to the chiropractor.
    For back pain, all an orthopedist will do is give you muscle relaxers, and when those don't work, he will recommend surgery, if you are qualified for it.
    How do you qualify for back surgery?
    You are qualified if you have good insurance.

    1st> get a water bed,comfort and heat... then hang upside down (inversion rack) or bar. start slow,add time as you go. Do a posture check on yourself, do you slouch in chairs, at work, drivng etc,sounds stupid to some but has worked for me from time to time, oh yea, one more thing check your stress levels,also plays a part.

    you first need to find out what your problem is, spasam, pinched nerve,ruptured disk,etc.i went to the bone bender before i went to a real doctor and it caused me more damage. either way i still had to have it operated on
