Question about Beretta...
Do they offer a refinishing service for their pistols?

LOL Okay...so I should take that as, they're not that good? I'm asking because I'm looking at buying a used 8045 here in town, and while it's not in bad shape, it's seen some holster wear. I figured I'd pick it up, and get it refinished. Especially as I don't see alot of these around any more. 0 -
No, it's a joke.
Seriously, contact Beretta directly and ask if they refinish their pistols. They probably do, but you may be put off by the cost. By the time you buy a used pistol and have it refinished, you could have bought a new one and had money left over for a holster and a lot of ammo.
I used to be like you. I wanted my pistols to look pristine, and agonized over the tiniest scratch or rub mark. Now, I think that holster wear shows character. When I see someone with a new-looking gun, I think that he either just got it, or he never uses it.

Well, upon taking your advice, I called them. They do offer the service and the complete package is $300 bucks. It's $150 for the frame, and $75 both the barrel and slide. They're looking at a 6-8 week turn around time for a complete package. I didn't ask about individual parts turn around.
I don't mind wear. God knows some of the weapons I've shot in the military have seen better days. And I'll never own a gun that won't get shot. That's just...not right! [:(!] But I don't see to many 8045s around and for $375, I figure it's worth picking up and maybe spending the $300 to make her all purdy and new again. Then I'll go and put her through the ringer to see just how good a job Beretta does. [;)]0 -
