i just wanted to tell everyone that i had the chance to meet the folks from gun broker.com today at the annual nra meeting. they were friendly and very nice and i certian enjoyed talking with them.

    It is that time of year again! I'll be there! Who else is going? I'd like to meet some of y'all. Perhaps a bunch of us can meet for one of the seminars or just gather at the gunbroker booth (2 years ago they gave away really nice beer cozies!!)

    where is it being held this year? some year i would love to go to that and to the SHOT show or the SCI shows.

    Come on guys don't make me go by myself! I went in '06 and had a great time. Anybody that is anybody in the firearms industry will be there with full displays! You'll kick yourself for not going once I post the pics!

    I am currently planning to go. Am meeting friends coming down from Ohio. Never been to one before but looking forward to it.

    I went to 05, 06, and last year. Some NRA staff who are personal friends of mine are kind of expecting me to show up. Whether I'll be able to make it or not depends on my financial situation. Right now it ain't looking so good. I probably won't know until the end of March.

    However, never fear. If I don't go, I'll give up my hotel reservation at the SeelBach Hilton to someone on these forums. This is best hotel to be at this year that's open to the public. You see, this year the *best* hotels were booked more than a year ahead of time and reserved for NRA staff and VIP exhibitors - when everywhere else didn't have access to them. Of course, you'll have to pay for the room at the Hilton... but my guess is all of the other rooms are already booked by NRA members who planned well in advance. If I can't go, I'll transfer the name to one of you guys.

    This year, the exhibit hall will be more than 5 miles away from the main hotels - so shuttle transportation or buses will be provided to attendees free of charge (so says Ashley). But I believe the dinner auctions, banquet, and some of the other important events will be very close to the hotels. Trust me, you don't want have to walk 10 miles each day, carrying a bag full of goodies you picked up from exhibitors. And paying for a cab is just as burdensome.

    Last year there was no skywalk between the main sponsoring hotel and the exhibit hall [V] We all had to walk and deal with traffic.

    When They came to Houston a few years ago I protested across the street.

    I was the only protestor [:(]

    a couple guys came up and wanted to chat, they didn't have a clue[:)]
