  I also suggest the soundtrack to "the harder they come". There's some excellent reggae on there.

  The slickers only recorded a couple of songs. Ironically the song "johnny too bad" is about violence catching up with you, killing you, and the people you love. Within days after recording the song, one of the band members was violently killed, and another band member killed the murderer in revenge, and was sentenced to life in prison.
