I forgot about the MARLIN Camp 9 and Daddy's 742.

Just in case ya'll wuz wunderin', this is in response to a statement in another thread.

I was just giving him a hard time because EVERY one of his EBRs was topped with some sort of optic, even the Nova pump.[:0] I'm all for optics but effectiveness of open sights is under appreciated.

Open sights? OK. If we can include aperture type... and folding multi-leaf sights which are a personal favorite.

A pair of Remington Models 30s. Right is a standard rife in 30-06 and left is a custom built .460.

Some Mausers. OK, the 375 has a scope but the other 3 do not.

Of course some rifles were never meant to wear scopes:

Left is a 22 target job and the right is a custom built 45/70. This one shoots 1" groups with 405-500 grain lead bullets and 1.5" using 255 grain 45 Colt pistol bullets for cheap plinking.
