Moss and Brady are sore loosers!
Randy Moss and Tom Brady pulled out of the Probowl after the Pat's lost the Superbowl to the Giants. I know there may be a good reason, but both of them have always come across as egomaniacs to me, with a superiority complex and poor sportsmanship. While I think they are both great athletes, they lack in humility and character. Moss can play with the best of them until someone plays him physically, and Brady, as long as he is untouched, is as good of a quarterback as has ever played.
Troy Aikman once said it was easy to look great when you had enough time to make a sandwich before throwing, but it was hard to look good when you spent every moment from the snap running for your life. He recalled playing in both situations while playing for the Cowboys, so I think he knows what he's talking about.

I imagine Brady not playing in the game has something to do with his ankle. Don't know about Moss. But if I were in their shoes, I wouldn't go either. Glorified exhibition game and too much of a chance to get hurt. Just ask Garrison Hearst about that! Ruined his career.0 -

I wouldn't trade Romo because I think he has more character in his little toe than the other three put together. Brady is the kind who blames his bad throws on the receiver. He pouts amd has said that he achieved all he set out to do, so football doesn't have a big draw for him. He's the kind who'll walk off and leave his teamates holding the bag when things don't go to suit him.
As for T.O. and Moss, they are twins. I don't care for either of them. You have to remember (but you may not be old enough) that we had Tom Landry as a coach who would suspend the star player for bad sportsmanship or legal issues, even before the biggest game of the year. Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones would hire a child rapist if they though they would win a Superbowl for them.
Jealous? No, the best team won the Superbowl, and the Cowboys and the Titans wouldn't make a pimple on their butts. That's just the cold hard truth. I love the Cowboys, and I'm proud of their season, but they are not the best, and they didn't win the Superbowl. I'll pull for them next year too, and hope for the best. I never cared for fair weathewr fans. If you don't love your team regardless of their record, you're not a fan. I love the NFL, and I love football.
Brady, Moss and Belichick are poor loosers, then you have some of the classiest players in the league on that team like Tedy Bruschi. Go figure.0 -

I can somewhat understand Brady pulling out. He was banged up in the playoff game, then the giants hammered him pretty good. Probably just trying to stay healthy.
As good a player as Moss is/was I gotta believe he has burned all his bridges and just doesn't play well with the other kids. Like they say there is no "I" in team.0 -
I agree with you Danny, all except for the mini-rant on Brady. He is the most competitive son of a gun I have ever seen. I have never seen him explode at a receiver for something the receiver did wrong, no more than any other QB anyway. He could play for my team any time he wanted! As far as Moss...why is it that nearly every talented wide receiver in the NFL is an egomaniacal nut case? I was a huge fan of Derrick Mason when he played for the Titans. Never heard a word out of him. Just did his job very well. And I really like Wes Welker. Little dude, but he sure isn't afraid to go across the middle and take all the punishment those LB's and safety's dish out! Love that attitude! Yeah, the best team won in a big upset. That's what makes sports great! You just never know....
BTW...I wish it weren't so...but I am thisclose to 50, and I remember very well when Landry coached the Cowboys. They were "my" team back then. Then along came Jerry and peed all over my parade!0 -
I am a diehard Cowboys fan here in the middle of NY . I am happy for Tom Coughlin and Eli , they have both been dragged through the coals here by the NY media and many fans. As far as Romo he is a class act and Dallas will win many games with him. They had a great season and beat the Giants twice so nothing to be ashamed of. As for Brady I think he's a class act through and through and a gamer. He is banged up and decided to rest himself up , nothing wrong with that. Moss and Owens are both selfish jerkoffs who care nothing about the game or their team.They are all about themselves. (Moss even dissed Jerry Rice this year). Although TO did cry this year.[:)]. The Pro Bowl is a joke . Its the only "all star " game not played during the season and it is not fan friendly at all . Im not sure why they even play it . 0 -

Brady has not struck me as a bad guy. I wish we had him in Atlanta, I bet we could go 8 and 8 with a qb that good!

The pro bowl is nothing more than a beauty contest. The Giants have how many reps in the Pro Bowl? Isn't it zero? One?
It is not unusual for the Superbowl players to miss the Pro Bowl. Happens every year.
I saw the post game interview with Moss and he was a complete gentleman. If you have NFL network turn it on, they'll be playing it all day. He made no excuses and complemented the Giants. I think, like TO, he finally understands. Why it takes 10 years for these guys to figure it out I am not sure.
So, get off their asses. If I was in their position I would go on a rampage. They are handling themselves admirably considering the weight of what just happened to them...0 -
I guess there is still a demand for the pro bowl, but I gotta say that there is no way I would play, if I had a choice.
Professional sports, as a whole, is really losing its luster for me. Too much hype.

Moss would be a perfect receiver if he played for a different team every 2 years. Year 1: get used to the team and coaching style. Year 2: Perform like mad. Year 3: wouldn't exist because he would be traded to a new team to prevent him from thinking that his abilites will make him invincible. 0 -
