not to completely take over the other thread, here is my solution to shredding the tobacco.
needed to shred the tobacco so I could roll it.
'baccy shredders are a couple hundred bucks, yea, aint happening.
DID have g-pa's ole hand-cranked cabbage shredder he used to make sauerkraut!
but the blade/support gap was WAY too wide, and didn't want to destroy a true antique drilling/grinding/cutting the original machine parts... SOooo.
spent a couple hours with a hunk of oak board...
