Ronald J. Snow, 60
DENMARK -- Ronald J. Snow, 60, of Hannibal Circle Drive, died suddenly Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at his home.
He was born in Old Town, the son of Alfred G. Snow Jr. and Ethel Smith Snow and lived his entire life in Denmark. He attended Denmark Grammar School and graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1965. In his youth he worked summers at Bucknell Farm and after graduating high school he was employed at A D Davis Insurance Agency for 18 years. In 1982 he became the sole proprietor of Snow's Sport Shop where he could be found until his death.
Ronald was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and when asked, he could tell you exactly when and where he shot every deer. He enjoyed tying flies and building fly rods as well as working on repairing guns. He won many trophies for his shooting abilities. He liked nothing better than telling a good joke. He was an honest, hardworking sole who would go out of his way to help a person in need. He was a strong believer in family and friends. He was a former member of the NRA and the Sportsman's Alliance of Maine.
He was the oldest of five children and was predeceased by his father in 1995 and his mother is 1992. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susan Kimball Snow; his children, Sarah L. Snow-Brine and her husband Gary, their three children Audrey, Andrew and Acadia of Wells, and his youngest daughter, Heather L. Snow and her partner Anthony Zanelli and their son Tyler of Billerica, Mass. He is also survived by brothers Richard G. Snow and his wife Norma, and Alfred G. Snow III and his wife Jolene along with two sisters, Brenda S. Hill and her husband Earl all of Denmark, and Nancy Moody and her husband John of Redstone, N.H. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews and three great-nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 4, at the Wood Funeral Home, 9 Warren St., Fryeburg. A funeral service will Tuesday at 1 p.m., Feb. 5, at the funeral home with the Pastor Dan Ahern officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brownfield in the spring. Arrangements are made with Wood Funeral Home.

Yes his last post was on Jan 30 wherein he said he was in the hospital but they told him his chest pains were not heart related, and he was sent home.0 -

I just re-read his final post, and i remember it well now.
