Our major snow event
Our major snow storm brought about 1 1/2 inches with nothing on the roads!
What would these people do if a real snow storm hit around here????????
I am waiting now to here if they are going to cancel school for the day for the kids. If they do I am going to be seriously pissed!

Now I'm pissed! I got an appointment in Columbia and my kids are on a 2 hour delay for school! Now I will have to rush to make my appointment!
These people around here are wussies when it comes to snow!0 -
I know what you mean. I was stationed in Myrtle Beach in 1991/92 and the entire town/county shut down with approximately an inch of snow. There was a lot of accidents that day. 0 -
I seen how you South Carolina people drive in snow. With 1" on the grass and nothing on the roads, there could be a record number of accidents today.[:D]

We got 4 inches in the NC mountains.
The city is shut down.

Central NC. Some ice on trees....water on roads.....schools closed.....most everyone is here at work......mostly rain.....NOT A LOAF OF BREAD OR CARTON OF MILK LEFT IN STORES.....How long do people think they are going to be stuck at home? ARGH! 0 -
Wow I wish all we got up here was 1 1/2" of snow.
Our next ten day forecast is calling for snow everyday with the average snow fall being 1" to 3" each day.
Our kids have only had one delay this year so far, and that was because of -22 degrees temperatures. The school busses don't like to start when things get that cold. They were also sent home early last week when we had sustained winds of 60+ miles an hour for over 12 hours.
Crazy thing is that they always send them home smack dab in the middle of the bad weather.[}:)]

Just north of us got about 1/2"+ yesterday. We got rain/sleet mix, then just rain. Friday night/Saturday morning forecast has us getting 1-2" (as of last night). Bring it on.[:D] 0 -
Back in the 70's we would have 2 - 3 feet of snow on the ground for most of the winter. 0 -
I used to have family in Sunbury Wisconsin, Dairy people,and their city would PACK the roads instead of plowing. Everyone had snowmobiles.[;)] 0
