Eotch vs C-More

I guess I should put here that this thread was started due to another post that I did not want to hi-jack. I did this one to answer a question someone had asked.

I have a Eotech and really like the site and I have it on a HK USC. I have tried it on a couple of my AR's and I don't like it as the site is wider then the gun is. I want to like them on there, I know it is very popular, and they are a top notch site.

I only have 2 AR's that sites. One is a target rifle with glass on it and the other is going to be a flat top suppressed 9mm. I picked up a C-More site for another gun I have and found I really like it. I prefer to due to its overall size. I am not sure how durable it is compared to the Holo, but I do believe they have a NSN through the gov so they should be pretty stout.

Here is a "demo" pic of basically what my upper will look like when I am done. The "suppressor" in this pic is a vacuum cleaner extension (please don't laugh too hard).

    I prefer the EOTech...but that's probably b/c the wider size does not bother me...functionality is what I'm looking for.

    I like the eotech's mostly because I know I can be rough on it, and not worry about it.

    BTW, nice UMP/USC. Did you do the conversion yourself?

    I did not. I had Top Notch parts do it. I have heard many complaints about them after I bought parts from them the first time for the mag conversion and rails. I then sent it in a couple of years later when they had a sale on the folder (which requires a different lower that they gave a rebate on) and die job. I was treated very fair and had no problems at all.

    I have had a couple come through the store. The eotech sells way WAY faster than any other brand....that is really all I have to go by. Larry wants to put something like that on one of his AR's I just can't see spending $500 or more for a dot. I'm not an AR shooter....1911 girl here. Its not that I don't LOVE the AR, but when you have to sell 99% of what you get your hands on you try NOT to love everything. Its easier to stick to ONE type of "OOOOOO...I have to have it" gun.
