    How about the price of the ammo I shoot. You don't go out and plink with it.

    The ballistics are O.K. but there are better bullets out there. For this price though, it's pretty good. It would make good practice ammunition if nothing else and you get to keep the brass.

    The Lapua FMJs are terrific, I use them in several other cartridges but not my .338 RUM.

    I've been playing with the .338 RUM loaded with a 300 gr. experimental bullet. I'm running in the 850 m/s range due to the weight but it flies really nice. The numbers indicate that it will stay supersonic out to 2,000 yards. I haven't shot it that far yet, I'm still waiting for a little bit of time to get some more testing done.
