A dumb quaetion about Blue-Ray and DVD
Will a Blue-Ray player play both Blue-Ray and DVD? If so, I guess I'll change over.

They will play standard DVD's. Actually, they will upconvert them to something close to HD quality. Probably close to getting one myself. 0 -
I'd hold back just a little bit. There are still some standardization issues from what I've heard although the giants in the industry seem to have taken sides. I'll be waiting at least another year until this issue is all ironed out. 0 -

Rember 8 tracks? VHS/BETA? Cassette tapes? DVD/Blueray is the same format change to get you to once again buy your library in another format. Just say no. Besides Blue Ray, other formats are coming. 0 -

Well i got a 52 inch panasonic lcd(yeah its on the wall) anywho its the best thing you can buy for your movie watching enjoyment..better sound, better picture, and yes even on the reg dvds it is unreal in the diff..thats what i think...[:p]0 -

Yes it will! The bellwether I've used to determine which format comes out on top is "what format will Denon select". Well, Denon will release two new Blu-ray players this month, so as far as I'm concerned Blu-ray has become the Hi Definition DVD standard and when I upgrade my DVD player Denon will be the brand I purchase. 0 -
