Firefox problem

I cant get PDF documents to download and open while using firfox. If I switch to IE the same link will download the pdf just fine.

Is there a setting that I can't find that will allow pdf's to be downloaded and opened?

    Ha! I've got the same problem! I just encountered it yesterday. I would be interested in hearing the response to this question as well.

    I quit using Firefox long ago because of the strange problems cropping up.

    Is firefox your default browser? I use it as my default, I can't try it till I get home but I wasn't having any problems a couple of days ago.

    It is now, and I still can't get pdf's to download and open. I started using firefox when we where all playing maffiabattle. I have never been able to open PDF documents via an internet link. I switch back from IE because of the auto spell check that firefox has and IE doesn't

    Another thing I like about Firefox is that I don't get near as much spyware on my computer when compared to IE.

    If you haven't tried already, type in Kim Komando (in case you don't know she is a doll and a PC guru). When you get to her page just type in "pdf problem with Firefox" and you should get the solution.to your problem.

    Two (2) things on FireFox:


    First
    Go here and download the PDF Plug-in (Acrobat Reader) for FireFox.

    Second
    Go to Tools, Options, Content---->click on Manage (listed under File types)
    see if Adobe Acrobat is indicated to open PDF files.

    I checked and I had Adobe set to open pdf's

    so it must be i don't have the plug in, downloading now I will let you all know if it works

    On that download it says to choose, Windows 2000, or Windows 2000 SP1, or others.
    I have Windows 2000 Professional. Which one should I choose?
